Big breakthrough!

Yesterday, my mom and I went to the barn, as usual.

I tied him in the cross ties, groomed him, and reached for his bridle. I looked back and he had lowered his head to my level, brought his head over to me, and had his mouth open for me to slide the bit in! GOOD BOY!! Before, it took me 15+ minutes to convince him that he could open his mouth and the bit would not hurt him!

So I was so proud of him that we just went on a little ride around the property and then I put him back. There was a church service going on, and he was so good with all the people that came up to pet him. Everyone thought he was a seasoned schoolmaster because he was so calm.

I am so proud of my boy!!!

My first blog

Here is my first blog. I will give an intro.

I just bought a 5 year old OTTB about 2 weeks ago, on August 2nd, 2008. His name is Prestige. He is an amazing boy with a great heart and a great mind. He is very green, w/t/and just starting canter. I can't wait to continue our journey. I would love for him to be an eventer, but as everyne knows, that will take alot of time. I am taking it slow with this one, he is too special.
